IT Support Technician -
O’Connor Group is seeking an IT Support Technician to work out of our Sioux
Falls office. This full-time permanent position is available immediately and
will provide personal support to users and systems in our Sioux Falls location,
as well as remote support to users in our outlying offices. This person will
assist our Network Administrator and report to the Operations Manager.
Duties include:

Provide support and maintenance for desktops,
laptops, PDA’s and peripherals.

Provide maintenance and troubleshooting on
network hardware, software and appliances.

Help manage equipment and data lifecycles
through established protocols. Maintain documentation of equipment and
software inventory.

Procure and install computers, peripherals
and network components.

Research and test network applications.
-
Monitor network security and stability,
including backup schedules and disaster recovery plans.

Manage work tickets.
-
Assist with the development and maintenance
of website, software applications and scripting. Development languages in
.NET languages and VBA. Scripting languages include vbscript, powershell,
and batch files.

Hours are primarily 8:00 – 5:00, with some
overtime required.

Travel will be minimal.
Education and experience requirements:

Requires an associates degree with some
network administration experience preferred.

Requires full working knowledge of Windows
operating system and Microsoft Office products, with some networking and
programming background preferred.

Knowledge of web, application and scripting
development is a plus.

Must be organized, possess good time
management skills and be able to work autonomously.

Must possess good verbal and written
communications skills.

Must be comfortable working closely with
people and able to maintain a helpful attitude while under pressure.
